This is one of the easiest recipes for bon-bons with carob powder out there! If you want to impress someone, tell them that those fruity bon-bons are sugar free, vegan and that eating 3 to 5 pieces wouldn’t hurt a bit! Roll up your sleeves and let the bon-bon making begin!
All you need is:
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- a can of pineapple (chopped)
- 1/2 cup dried dates
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup walnuts ( crashed )
- 1/2 cup carob powder
- desiccated coconut for rolling
All you need to do it place the chopped dried date, raisins and oatmeal in hot water for 30 minutes until softened. Drain the fruits and set the liquid aside. You can add some sweet rum into the fruits, to make the bon-bons even tastier.
In a bow mix together the fruits with the chopped walnuts. Start adding the carob powder into the mixture. Add a little bit of the liquid from the drained fruits and stir until you get a sticky mixture.
Roll the content into balls and roll them through the coconut shreds.
Place the bon-bons in a plate and refrigerate for about one hour.
Enjoy!
